would i see the lovely bones again? sure, but i'd have to buy two tickets - one for me and one for the person holding a gun to my head.

so i saw the film of the lovely bones and i was rather disappointed. there’s so much that they missed out of the film that was in the novel. i know that obviously they cant put everything into a film because it’s only a couple of hours long, but still, there were important bits that weren’t even mentioned. and i really didn’t like the way that they made holly one of ‘harvey’s girls’…plus, to say that susie’s death is the centre point of the entire novel i didn’t really feel that it was explored enough, or even made blatant what actually happened to her. i feel like it only skimmed the surface of the actual story. but that’s just my opinion.
